54646. 17. Going distant from Allah is not an overnight process. It happens gradually without us ever realizing until we’re too far away. You may drift away from Allah one step at a time while feeling your heart harden until it turns into a stone. It’s a terrifying feeling and it mostly happens when we are negligent of our hearts for way
Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with him) said, in the story of his repentance, that he said to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): Indeed, by Allah, if I sat before anyone in this world other than you, I would have saved myself from his anger with an excuse, for I have been given the ability to argue persuasively, but by AllahAllah SWT mentions some beautiful dua Prophet Ibrahim (AS) made for himself, his children and his progeny in Surah Ibrahim. One such dua is for pious children. This dua is mentioned in verse 40. “My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.”.
It may seem difficult to imagine, and I don't make out that it's always the easiest of things to do. However, with complete conviction, as I too have witnessed such a great blessing from Allah (SWT) after a calamity had befallen me, that if you truly trust in your Lord, with every atom's weight of your heart, Allah will provide for you in waysii. When Allah says:” And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before”, I’m of the opinion that the prophet will be given what this world cannot contain. That’s why Allah says the life in the Hereafter will be better for him than this world (See Mafātīh al-Ghayb or Tafsīr al-Kabīr 31/194 of Ar-Rāzī). 2. Nonetheless, a person may ask Allah to improve his manners and make him accepted by people and make his moral conduct better than his outside appearance, as this is something that is within the realm of possibility and reason. As a matter of fact, this supplication is better for the person than having a good outside appearance which conceal an Allah's Apostle (pbuh) came to them and said, "Are you the same people who said so and so? By Allah, I fear Allah and I am conscious of Him better than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I perform Prayer and sleep, and I (also) marry women. So he who does not follow my Sunnah (tradition) is not from me (i.e. not one of my followers).”
"O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no God except You. You created me and I am Your slave. To the best of my ability, I will abide by my covenant and pledge to You. I seek Your protection from the evil of my own creation. I acknowledge Your favors to me and I admit my sins. So please forgive me for no one can forgive sins except You."
On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifaree (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from his Lord, that He said: O My servants! I have forbidden dhulm (oppression) for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. .
